Mother's Day Review
Everything I wanted.
Morning lesson was a hit with kids.
Big plate of eggs, fresh fruit, and sourdough toast. Didn't cook it myself.
Went to church and sat together. Daddy wrangled kids and I just listened.
Went home and did crafting with kiddos.
Little sis made me bracelets. They looked like wonder woman arm bands made of construction paper. I was wonder mommy the rest of the day.
Took a nap.
Walked to park. Snacked. Met neighbors. Walked to anoher park. Played. Met neighbors. Visited. Daddy walked home while we played, he got the car.
Drove home. Dressed for pool. Took kids to neighborhood pool. It was cold. It was fun anyway. Lounged in the sun and snacked on chips. Little sis fell asleep. I carried her home, enjoying conversation with Big sis along the way.
Got home. Daddy was making dinner. Drew bath for girls while blasting children's camp songs on the stereo to wake the sleeping one. Took a shower myself then watched as girls enjoyed their bath.
Kid Dinner and video games. I ate a salad.
Family drive. Showed Daddy neighborhoods where I would love to live, most of which were not right for us.
Finished with a neighborhood that was our style and our price point. Narrow one way roads. Tree lined streets. Gas street lamps. Big front porches. Garages with driveways. Small cottage gardens. Central Park. Kids playing everywhere. Walking distance to everything we love about our current neighborhood. But there are no homes for sale there right now.
Carried sleeping girls into house. Enjoyed a romantic dinner together. Complete with chocolate cake. Bed.
This was everything I could want in a day.
Happy Mother's Day!
