Tape Trick

Label Folding
When you make a label, fold over the tape on one or both ends. When it comes time to remove that label, it comes off smoothly!
Grab and Go Tape Roll
Want your tape rolls to be grab and go?
Fold the tape over a piece of cardstock or paper so it's easy to find the end!
Lab Tape
I learned these techniques from a postdoc in the space botany lab when I was in grad school. It comes in handy with any tape you're putting on glassware that goes through the autoclave. That tape gets stuck on so tightly! But of you fold it over, it comes off easily.

I used to be a dishwasher for an environmental testing lab. I washed a lot of yucky glassware and had to remove a lot of throughly stuck-on tape. I usually used a razor blade, which was dangerous in itself! It was such a relief when I learned this trick to prevent the problem all together.
