Use Your Words - scientific description

Gather a bouquet!
Describe the difference between different flowers. Use your words.
--
We just collected some flowers in our garden. A child wants to explain each of their special flowers to her pen pal.

But let's pretend it's the 1800s and they can't just e-mail a photo.

How would you tell someone far away about your favorite flower?

Pick a flower from our jar. Look carefully at the flower and describe it as completely as you can. Find one or more defining characteristics that distinguish it from the other similar flowers that you see. Draw your flower as well as you can. Then write a letter describing it to your pen pal.

Even though we live in the year 2021, we can send a letter to our friends.

How often do you work on your written communication skills?
