Parks of the Space Coast: Watts Park
We visited this waterfront park in Merritt Island in March. There is room for about 10 cars to park, including Handicap parking. There are no restrooms.
There is a large covered Picnic area just off the path. It has 4 large aluminum picnic benches and a large charcoal grill.
Beyond both covered Picnic areas, there is a playground with a merry-go-round. Since this park only has a few scattered palm trees, the playground is in full sun. The substrate is wood chips.
It has a music theme, with instruments to play built in to the equipment throughout. Here is a picture of our children playing with bells.
There is a fenced-in tennis court. It was not in use when we arrived, but seems to be in good repair.
There is a half-size basketball court with a net. Close to the parking, beside the tennis court, there is a shuffleboard court. There are benches and picnic tables nearby. Park guests are expected to bring their own shuffleboard equipment.
Do you want to learn to play shuffleboard?

We had a wonderful time playing at this fun little neighborhood park! Next time we'll have to bring a shuffleboard kit, our basketball, and fishing poles.
